When I was at Mom and Dad's house in February, Mom worked on getting rid of some of her stash by giving it to me. Among the things in her stash were 9 blocks that she'd embroidered. She asked me if I'd be interested making them part of a finished product.
I didn't realize until I was at Mom's house last week that she first started the embroidery before Michael was born. So it's taken awhile, but the project is finally done.
I'm pretty happy with the final product.

Beautiful!!!! Look at my goals . . . the scariest one!
I LOVE IT!! You turned someone's stash into an heirloom!!! Major SRC points. What a great way to display the long hours and tired hands of a loving mother.
Wow, Peanut! It would appear you have become quite a quilter! I am impressed with your work!
I think mom must have finished at least one quilt with hand embroidered blocks, b/c the pics of your new quilt are reminding me of a similar quilt with green fabric around the border.
It looks great! That is so cool that you were able to use quilt blocks your mom embroidered. What a special heirloom that will be!
That's awesome! You have become an amazing quilter! I'm a little jealous. I like quilting too, but just don't have the time in my life right now. Great Job!
It really is beautiful! I'm very impressed!
I don't know how I missed this post! Everyone else said it, but I'll say it too: it's gorgeous! And now I'll say what everyone else is thinking, but is too chicken to say: I want that!
