A couple years ago Marty and I purchased a set of Cutco knives on ebay. Recently we decided it was time to send them in to be sharpened.
I got online to find out what we needed to do. And then after about a week of them sitting around waiting for us to box and ship them, we sent them off.
A few days after sending them, I got an email confirming their arrival and that they were being processed. There was also a note that 6 of the knives I sent were being sharpened, but 2 were being completely replaced. One of those two had a burn mark on the handle (something that it had since we got them), and I'm not really sure what was wrong with the other one.
A few days after that I got another email indicating that they were on their way back.
They arrived yesterday. They are sharp and beautiful and like new.
Wonderful service. Wonderful deal. All it cost for the sharpening was $9 for all 8 knives plus our cost to ship out to them. And some really nice, sharp knives that will last a lifetime.

My grandma has had her Cutco knives for nearly 60 years now. She loves them. One day I hope to get some, too.
I heart cutco also. But I've never had any luck finding them on e-bay the couple times I looked.
Well, I guess I should say, I haven't found the pieces I wanted for the prices I wanted on e-bay.
Boss, when I began looking on ebay for cutco knives I bid on a few sets and they finished up way outside the price range where I really wanted to be (still cheaper than new from cutco). The set that we won had less competition and stayed lower primarily because it wasn't a brand spanking new, pristine set. I do wish we'd sent them to be sharpened right away instead of waiting a year, plus.
